7 Signs You Suck at Larson Law Firm

I feel like I have written a hundred post on this subject but I will try to keep a few things in mind.

Larson Law Firm is one of those things that is not for the faint of heart. It's an insanely complex legal firm. At the core of the firm are over a hundred attorneys. And when you know that one of them is going to be the person that hires the lawyer that is going to get the case thrown out the window and that lawyer will be fired for something, you know you're in trouble.

So while Larson Law Firm is a large firm, it is not a “big firm”.

I have been to a lot of small firms that have offices in your local mall and I can tell you that it's not that much harder to find a job in a small firm than in a big one. The key is to not be afraid of starting anywhere, and to never stop learning. The same goes with law firms. You don’t want to be the person that hires the lawyer that is going to get the case thrown out the window and that lawyer will be fired for something, you know you're in trouble. So while Larson Law Firm is a large firm, it is not a “big firm”.

The key is not to get stuck in a job you hate. You might be able to hold out for a job that pays you less than the going rate, but you may be in the same firm with the same people that are going to start firing people for something. You’ll have lots of people saying to you, “you’re not a team player”. If you’re not a team player you’ll be fired.

Of course, not every job has to be a job you hate, but if you’re in an area where the compensation is lower or where the quality of the job may be sub-par, you might be in trouble. We’ve talked to many friends who have been laid off in the legal profession and were told that they were lucky to have been laid off at Larson, because the pay and quality of the work was less than the going rate.

It’s not all bad news though.

We’ve also heard from a few people who have gotten back into the legal profession and have found that they are getting paid well and there are a lot of opportunities for growth. What do you do when you get that feeling? You’re in a bad situation and you’re in a bad part of town and it's all your fault. It’s a familiar story for those of us who’ve worked in the legal industry. I’ve worked at other law firms and know from personal experience that law firms can be good places to work. My first, and only, job out of law school was at a major law firm.

There are a lot of things I’ve learned in the legal industry that have stuck with me. One of them is this: Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. If you’re a young, inexperienced attorney, you’ll never know what’s in there until the day you go in and they throw it all out.
