The Best 13 Chemerinsky Constitutional Law Products, Period

 

For those of you who may have heard that Chemerinsky was one of the most influential thinkers of the 20th century, you can’t go wrong with this one. The Federalist Papers made an impact on politics, as did the writings of Justice John Marshall Harlan and Chief Justice John Marshall Harlan II.

One of my favorite writings by Chemerinsky is his book “The Federalist: A Documentary History of the Federalist Papers.” It is a really great, long-form history that covers nearly every significant issue addressed in the founding documents, starting with the 1787 Constitution. It’s not just a history of the Constitution, but it looks at the entire era, including the Articles of Confederation.

The first draft of the Constitution was completed in 1787, but only the third draft was approved by Congress. Chemerinsky argues that the Articles of Confederation were never ratified, because they were not really a legal document and were not considered as a valid document until they were ratified. This, says Chemerinsky, is the best example of why we should be suspicious about how much power Congress has over the country.

This is a fantastic argument.

After all, if Congress never ratified the Articles of Confederation then we would never be required to live under one. If we don’t pay taxes, if the United States Constitution doesn’t apply to us, then we are completely free to do as we please. And, if the United States Constitution doesn’t apply to us, then it’s hard to see how we are the ones who need to obey it.

The best way to get around Congress's power grabs is to read the Constitution, but you’ll have to read the Constitution to do that. The Constitution says, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” This is the spirit of the Constitution.

The Constitution is really about creating a society in which our society is free.

You can’t just say, “Congress is not making laws.” The law is the power which we have to act for. The Constitution is about creating a society where the people are free.

This is not only a great law, it’s also a great way to create a society that supports free speech. The Constitution has over 300 words that prohibit the Constitution and the Bill of Rights, but in no way is this Constitution a document to be feared. The Constitution is a document that is needed to protect the free exercise of speech.

Like all the laws, this one is the best. The first part of the Constitution, the first person to be elected, is the one who is elected to the Presidency. The government is made up of the elected officials that elected them to the Presidency. The Constitution is the document that you are elected to be the President.
