It’s easy to get caught up in the “breaking the law” meme and fall into the trap of thinking that we’ve got to do it. But it’s not quite that simple. I’ve been telling you for ages that breaking the law is not nearly as important as creating something new.

With so many laws made to help people who have broken them, it is no surprise that people think the laws are being enforced when they aren't .

I know I am guilty of it too. I have a law-making power I don't use because I can't get enough votes to make laws that benefit the people making the laws. It is the same with law enforcement. Too many laws have been made simply to make people who break them feel bad. The cops dont want to arrest people, they just want to write a ticket. And people who make the laws dont think twice about writing laws that can get people in trouble. In The Atlantic, John McWhorter wrote that the reason people dont vote is that they dont want to vote for the candidates who make the laws. It’s the same with breaking the law. People dont care about politicians, they just want the laws to get passed. A law that benefits the people making the laws is a better law.
